The movie is a biography of the Brazilian medium Chico Xavier (Francisco Candido Xavier). Chico Xavier is a Brazilian writer, spiritualist, medium, philanthropist, and humanist.
Chico Xavier lived a long and difficult life, having managed to write 412 books, some of which were sold in more than 40 million copies, translated into 33 languages (of which 30 books are in Braille). Chico never considered himself the author of the books written, claiming that their true authorship belongs to those disembodied souls, under whose dictation all his works were written. For this reason, Chico donated all the royalties he received, along with copyrights to various charitable organizations.
